Zarechye – means beyond the river.
Indeed, our village is located on the banks of the small river Kuksa, which runs through the forests and fields of the south of Leningrad region, away from large cities and roads, and flows into Lake Cheremenetskoye.
Once, in the XII century, merchants from Staraya Russa shipped contraband salt by our river, bypassing outposts of Veliky Novgorod. Then there settled the first inhabitants, who for centuries treated fields, reared livestock, planted fruit trees.
In Soviet times, our region was famous for the best in the country apple orchards and "rivers of milk" from numerous farms. Today we have decided to restore the tradition of production in the Russian peasant household. At the farmstead of the oldest villager Viktor Kuzmin, a veteran of the Great Patriotic War. We breed rabbits, chickens, ducks, geese, goats, making cheese and cottage cheese from goat's milk, and vegetables and fruits we grow - are just the best!
To be healthy and strong as our forefathers were, your should eat natural products, drink pure spring water and breath with fresh air of balmy fields. Moreover, you can come to us, escape from the hustle and bustle of a big city, breathe the air of Russian fields and forests, show the animals to your kids, feed the goats and rabbits, and listen to roosters crowing. We offer you the dishes of Russian cuisine, cooked in Russian stove. Our program "Farmhouse" is intended for those who want to feel like a farmer.
Welcome, we are waiting for you!
